Cottonseed oil introduction:
Cottonseed oil is a cooking oil extracted from the seeds of cotton plants of various species, mainly Gossypium hirsutum and Gossypium herbaceum, that are grown for cotton fiber, animal feed, and oil.Cotton seed has a similar structure to other oilseeds such as sunflower seed, having an oil-bearing kernel surrounded by a hard outer hull; in processing, the oil is extracted from the kernel. Cottonseed oil is used for salad oil, mayonnaise, salad dressing, and similar products because of its flavor stability.

How to get cottonseed oil from cottonseeds?

Cottonseed pretreatment workshop is mainly to remove impurities in cottonseeds, regulate moisture and temperature of cottonseed, and break cottonseed into small particles to change cottonseed molecular structure,etc, which is good for the following process in solvent extracton workshop. After pretreatment, we can get cottonseed cake. Cottonseed cake can go to the following solvent extraction workshop.

Cottonseed oil extraction production line get crude extraction oil from cottonseed cake through processing flows of solvent extracting, mixture oil filtration, wet bran treatment of dephenolizaiton and mechanical desolvent, and low temperature drying, evaporation, gas stripper to obtain crude cottonseed oil.

Why Refining Edible Oil?
The crude oil obtained from oil expellers or solvent extraction contains impurities such as phosphatides,free fatty acids (FFA), pigments, off-flavor, etc. Oil Refining is a series of process to remove these impurities. After refining, the flavor, color and smell of oil is improved, the stability is improved which is good for long time storage, the smoke point of oil is increased.
