Normally the oil loss rate in palm oil physical refining process is 1.05-1.1%, but in palm oil chemical refining process, the oil loss rate can reach about 1.4%.

Palm oil physical refining process using high pressure steam to take free fatty acid away, so there is no chemicals to neutralize the FFA.
