First, the degumming and deacidification sections are completed in the alkali refining port, and then add hot water or electrolyte solutes to the alkali refining pot to remove the colloid-soluble impurities in the palm oil through the hydrophilicity of the colloid-soluble impurities. Then add alkaline solution into the alkali refining pot, and use the principle of acid-base neutralization to inhibit the increase of free fatty acids in palm oil and remove certain acidic impurities.

After the degumming and deacidification sections, the palm oil enters the decolorization tower. First, we need to heat the palm oil to 100 degrees to remove the moisture in the oil and prevent oxidation of oil. In addition, in the decolorization and deodorization sections, we need to use a water jet vacuum pump to provide the vacuum environment required for processing for these two sections. Then, we add white clay after heating oil, and achieve the decolorization effect through the adsorption capacity of white clay. After decolorization, it can not only improve the color of the palm oil, remove colloids, but also remove some trace metal ions.

The deodorization section is to remove odorous substances by steam distillation under high temperature and high vacuum conditions. We call it gas stripping. The deodorization section is the last step of most oil refining. Deodorization can remove the odor generated by the palm oil during the processing process and the odor of the palm oil itself. Finally, the refined palm oil is filtered for the last time by a plate and frame filter, and then it will enter the oil storage tank for storage.
