Coconut oil has various usages such as cooking, cosmetic use, etc. Coconut oil extraction has two traditional methods, dry and wet.

1. Dry method:

Coconut is also a popular fruit, high in moisture. Before coconut oil extraction, we have to dry coconut to 4-7%, while the oilcontent will reach 65-75%. And after drying, pressing is only needed for coconut oil extraction then.

2. Wet method:

Coconut is is one of the high-moisture fruit. Without drying, Pressing would extract coconut oil and water toghther, also called coconut milk, but with high oil residue. And with coconut milk, we can lessen the temperature of coconut milk to froze the coconut water and leave oil liquid above. But this method cost much more power than dry pressing. So, in general we don't suggest customer to use wet pressing in industrial coconut oil extraction.
